We’re crossing a lot of companies and properties here
Head of Xbox Phil Spencer likes to talk about games. However, that doesn’t mean that he restricts himself to only talking about titles that his company’s working on. No, he’ll discuss anything, even Nintendo properties.
When a fan asked on Twitter if he could help boost Banjo-Kazooie’s chances at being a new playable fighter,Spencer showed lovefor the character by saying “I think it would be cool if Banjo was in the nextSSBDLC.” Spencer further opened the door to the possibility by adding “We’ve worked with Nintendo on Rare IP before, no issues.”

While Rare, Ltd. has a long history of creating titles for Nintendo systems, it’s now a subsidiary of Microsoft. But, if the consensus is that fans want Banjo-Kazooie inSuper Smash Bros., the two publishing giants just might be able to make something work.
