How much of that is you?

Research firmSuperDatais reporting that Blizzard’s free-to-playHearthstone: Heroes of Warcraftis making $20 million a month; more than any other digital card game. When compared to other popular free-to-play games,Hearthstonecomes in aboveDota 2‘s $18 million a month and hugely trails what may very well be the most popular game in the world,League of Legends, which pulls in $123 million a month. That is a lot of cheddar.

If you’re unfamiliar withHearthstone, there are various items you can purchase with in-game gold or opt to buy with real money such as: card packs, single-player adventures, Hero portraits that work like skins, and Arena access, a mode that could potentially give you more back in winnings than the cost of entry.

Hearthstoneis available on PC, iOS, and Android devices for free. Currently Blizzard is offering a special deal onthe upcoming expansionThe Grand Tournament, allowing players to purchase 50-card packs for $50, which normally only net you 40, plus you get an exclusive card back to boot. The Grand Tournamenthas a vague release date of sometime this month, but I have a hunch that may be very soon considering Blizzard is performing maintenance on the in-game shop today.

So how much have you spent onHearthstone? I’ve spent over $350 on cards, including pre-purchasing the 50-card pack for $50.
