The long-awaited officialHardcore World of Warcraft Classicserversare finally here. Brave adventurers on these servers will have just one life. As such, this means death is permanent in these realms. If you die, there is no running back to your corpse and resurrecting. This includes Shaman Reincarnation and even Warlock Soulstones. Also, even though PvP is purely optional and requires you to flag for it, losing to other players in PvP still results in permanent death.

Instead, you will become a ghost able to traverse the world in ethereal form and communicate in-game with friends, but that’s it. As for your actual character, you canutilize a Free Character Move and transfer to a non-Hardcore Classic Era realm. However, in order to continue your Hardcore experience, you will have to create a new character.
