Tokyo Jungle, the demented “animal survival” game about a Tokyo chock-full of lions and bears, is destinedto hit North Americaon September 25. What’s more, the crazy game is going to be available for the rather pleasant price of $14.99.

Just in case you don’t know what you’re in for,Tokyo Junglelets you take control of one of fifty different animals as you, “hunt your way to the top of Tokyo’s post-apocalyptic food chain.” With both a story and open-ended survival mode to play, there seems to be a lot to do.

This is the kind of game that never usually makes it outside of Japan. I have to give Sony credit where it’s due — it’s not afraid to spread some balls-mental stuff where other companies would fear to localize. Whether the game ends up good or bad, I love that it’s being given a release out here, and I can’t wait to try it out.
