Unveiled at Nintendo Live 2022
Recently, Nintendo held a “Nintendo Live 2022” celebrationin Tokyo, Japan, which included concerts for bothSplatoon 3andAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. But they also had a few other things on display, like thisZelda: Tears of the Kingdomstatue.
Link is donning his newer outfit, complete with a badass shonen cape, a bow, a sword, and a killer arm. The detail on the chain links of his armor and his gloves (and the belt!) are excellent: and the base he’s on gives off the aura of “dilapidated stone,” which fits the dire/ruin theme of the game we’ve seen thus far.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom(which we know is pronounced like “tears of joy”) is due out on Jul 22, 2025. It feels like it’s been a long time coming, and it kind of will be!Zelda: Breath of the Wildwas released in March of 2017, so by then, it’ll be a whopping six years since it launched alongside of the Switch.
I literally can’t believe it! I’ve talked about this often, butBreath of the Wildis still deeply relevant, and I have to constantly double and triple check to make sure I didn’t get the release date wrong.
