You’ve still got money left, right?

There’s still a debate about crowdfunding’s ongoing viability as a way of game development but when you look at just how many videogames have found life through Kickstarter, it seems like it isn’t going away any time soon. Steam is runninga special Kickstarter salealongside its current summer sale which highlighted to me just how many games have been through Kickstarter.

Of course there’s big name titles likeBroken Age,Sir, You Are Being Hunted,Wasteland 2,Shadowrun Returns,Broken Sword 5,Mercenary Kings,Lily Looking Through, andAwesomenautsbut there’s also some notable title that I hadn’t realized had come through Kickstarter likeEdge of Space,SpaceChem,Paper Sorcerer,Risk of Rain, andThe Fall.

Strangely enough, there’s a few titles that are listed but not reduced like the recently releasedXenonauts,Stomping Lands, and the upcomingSunless Sea. Still, if you’re looking for some more cheap games and a reminder of the sheer variety of Kickstarter-backed videogames there are available. There’s close to 100 titles that are included in the sale which is running until June 30.
