They have a puke bucket and I hope they use it
RememberStarr Mazer? Ipreviewedit at GDC and found it incredibly entertaining, but found game designer Don Thacker’s charisma to be overwhelming, terrifying, and ultimately charming. Dude’s weird as heck, but the fun kind of weird.
Speaking of which, right this very second, he and two other devs are drinking acid and eating hot peppers to try and raise last-minute funds for another game,Potions: A Curious Tale(he explained that the acid neutralizes the capsaicin in your mouth instead of “washing it down to your tum-tum” and leading to asshole problems). I hadn’t heard of the game ’til now, but I’m enjoying their (torture) efforts towards raising money for their friends’ game. If you want to watch three dudes’ tongues probably melt out of their fucking faces, you just have to pledge towardsPotions.
From what Don just said on the stream, Renee Gittins (creative designer) ofPotionsquit her safe bio-tech job to make this game. Risky stuff. Maybe I should I quit Destructoid and become a pilot and follow her lead. Anyway, the stream will be on until midnight PDT. Chant with me: “Puke buc-ket! Puke buc-ket!”
