At this morning’sJapan Fighting Game Publisher Roundtableevent, Bandai Namco announced that a fourth season of DLC content will be coming to its popular fighterTekken 7this fall.
No specific characters were revealed during the stream, but a trailer advertising the new season ends with an image of a sunset over Mt. Fuji, with the silhouette of a ninja-type figure resting on a pagoda rooftop. WhileTekkenis fairly slight on shinobi – save for Kunimitsu – the accompanying message “WHAT?!” seems to suggest that this could also be another surprising crossover character.
In addition to the new DLC content,Tekken 7’sentire roster will be receiving brand new moves, offering players additional ways to smash skulls. A new “Tekken Prowess” scoring system was also teased for online play, and a connection indicator will now allow players to see whether their opponent is playing on a wired of Wi-Fi connectionbeforethey accept the match… That this latter feature isn’t implemented in every single fighting game in existence is mind-boggling.
Tekken 7is available now on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
