Get it?Rolling?
I am diggingSuper Monkey Ball 3Don my 3DS. I’ve nearly beaten it. It’s one of the few launch games that makes good use of both the accelerometer and the analog stick. I will say that using the accelerometer control with the 3D on is silly, though 3D is fine with the analog stick control. Both control methods work great.

This game really ramps up in difficulty when you get past the first three worlds. Some very careful rolling is required. I was in the waiting room at the doctor’s office yesterday, and I playedSMB3Dto pass some time. The super hectic 7th level had me cussing under my breath. Old people were looking at me.
It’s not all rolling puzzles, though that’s the main focus. The game’sMario KartandSuper Smash Brosknock-off modes are also enjoyable, though I’d say that the kart racing mode is a bit more polished.

Super Monkey Ball 3Dis available now for the Nintendo 3DS. You could do a lot worse than this for a launch title for the 3DS.
