Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimis the 2011 Spike Video Game Awards Game of the Year. I knew it. I won’t tell you what I chose as a Spike Video Game Awards panelist judge, but I bet you could guess.
It was a shame that the staff, led by Game Director Todd Howard, didn’t have time for a proper acceptance tonight. The show threatened to teabag any presenter that went over the time limit.

Skyrimalso won Best RPG, and Bethesda won Best Game Studio. Congrats, guys.
Skyrimbeat out four other really incredible games:Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Batman: Arkham CityandPortal 2. What an amazing year for videogames.
