Most of the Sonic VA family is back
Playing throughSonic Frontiers, and having just come off another rewatch of the entireSonic Boomseries, it’s been fun to relax with some familiar voices. Seeing the core trio of Sonic, Tails, and Amy return was a treat, even if they’re not quite getting the same quality material as they were inSonic Boom.
Roger Craig Smith does indeed return as the voice of Sonic, with more classic Sonic stable actors in the mix (Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails, Cindy Robinson as Amy, Mike Pollock as Eggman). We also have at least one character thrown in for good measure, including the mysterious Sage (Ryan Bartley), whose role/involvement was shrouded in mystery until we got confirmation that she was involved in theFrontierscredits.
It’s not clear what the future will bring for all these regulars going forward (especially with theSonic PrimeTV show changing things up): but it’s fun hearing them again here. You can find the full credit list directly from the game below (sans character names, which were annoyingly omitted).
