Sony made the announcement last month thatHorizon Zero Dawnis being ported to PC, and that has people dreaming big about which of their favorite PlayStation 4 games might be next. There was a glimmer of hope that round two was nigh via the usually-reliable retailer leak, but, alas, it turned out to be a ruse. A hoax, deception, pure chicanery.
This morning, Amazon France got several new listings for PC versions of major PS4 titles. Among them wereThe Last of Us Part II,Bloodborne,Days Gone,Gran Turismo Sport,Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, andPersona 5 Royal.

Sony was quick to refute these leaks, bluntly tellingIGN“The listings are not accurate. We have made no announcements to bring these games to PC.” Similarly, Sega gave a statement toPC GamerregardingPersona 5 Royalthat says “That listing is an error and we’re looking into having it taken down and how it happened.”
When Sony made theHorizon Zero Dawnreveal, it made a point to emphasize that this wouldn’t necessarily become a regular occurrence. Hermen Hulst, the head of Sony Worldwide Studios said“And to maybe put a few minds at ease, releasing one first-party AAA title to PC doesn’t necessarily mean that every game now will come to PC. We don’t have plans for day-and-date [PC releases].”

Sony is showing more restraint than that, maybe even treatingHorizon Zero Dawnas a case study for how it wants to approach PC as a platform for its games. However, this Amazon France trickster could not show the same restraint — and the sheer quantity of their fakes made it an attempted hoodwinking that was easy to see through.
