A battle of ice and fire

Sisuran Shrine is one of the rare shrine quests inTears of the Kingdom. Fortunately, unlike other shrine quests that can be quite time-consuming, this one is a straightforward boss battle. Although, that doesn’t make it simple to complete. We’ve covered everything you need to know to defeat the boss and complete Sisuran Shrine below. But first, let’s take a look at how to find it.

How to find Sisuran Shrine inTears of the Kingdom

Sisuran Shrine is located in the Hebra Mountains area of Hyrule. To reach the shrine in the freezing weather, you’ll need to wear some sort of cold-resistant clothing or utilize some cold-resistant boosts. Due to the boss battle taking place outside, we recommend cold-resistant clothing like theSnowquill set available in Rito Village.

The closest fast travel point to Sisuran Shrine is Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower which sits to the southeast. To get to the shrine, simply use the tower and glide northwest. It’s close enough for most players to glide all of the way there with no problem. Check the screenshot above for the exact location of the shrine on the map.

How to complete Sisuran Shrine

To complete Sisuran Shrine, you need to finish the quest “The North Hebra Mountain Crystal.” As mentioned above, the entire quest consists of a single boss fight. To start the boss battle, follow the green line from the shrine to the crystal a short distance away.

To start the fight, you need to fire an arrow at the crystal. This will awaken the Frost Talus that is holding the shrine crystal.Do note that to fight the Frost Talus, you will need some form of fire attack, like fire arrows or a ruby rod.

When the Frost Talus wakes up, you need to hit its torso with fire. This will thaw the Talus and turn it back into stone, which means Link can stand on it without being frozen. As soon as it is unfrozen, fire an arrow at the crystal to make the Frost Talus fall over.

Once the Talus falls down, climb it and attack the crystal as fast as possible. ensure to lock on to the crystal by holding “ZL” to do the most damage while it’s down. When the Talus wakes up, it will shake Link off, at this point, you need to run clear of it to stop it from one hit killing you. To defeat the Talus, you need to repeat thawing it with fire, knocking it down, and attacking the crystal on its body. We used a 36-attack strength spear to fight the Talus, and it took three knockdowns to kill it.

Once it’s dead, pick up the crystal and return it to the shrine. Make sure to open the chest inside the shrine on the way to the end. It contains a sapphire that can be sold for a nice price.
