Lots of Final Fantasy undertones
Square Enix has announcedSamurai Rising, which is due out on Android and iOS at some point in the future (likely this year). Before you groan, it actually looks pretty good! It’s an action RPG akin to something likeSecret of Mana, and features a wide variety of classes to mess around with, as well as some familiar designs.
This thing just screamsFinal Fantasyin terms of the character art. I mean look at the monk, the black and white mages, the dragoon — as long as it’s good I’m okay with the art direction in this case. Some people have already compared it toCrystal Chronicles, which is good in my mind.
