According to aCVG report, Electronic Arts is getting set to announce a new version of the classic Syndicate series.
While there are no details on this supposed project, it’s interesting to note that it was announced that Starbreeze were working with EA to resurrect a classic franchise. With the last game,Syndicate Wars, released in 1996, this certainly would fit the “classic” bill.
The Syndicate series was a fixed-view isometric real-time tactics title set in a cyberpunk universe. If Starbreeze — best known for their recent work on first-person shooter titles likeChronicles of RiddickandThe Darkness— are working on the title, we’d expect an updatedFallout 3-stylere-working of the series. But that’s just a guess; it could be more likeRoad Rashfor all we know.
