Retro PS3 collectionR-Type Dimensionswill be returning later this month on PC and Nintendo Switch asR-Type Dimensions EX.The title includes Irem’s classic coin-opsR-TypeandR-Type II, complete with some new features.
All of the fast-firing shmup stages from both original titles are included, and players can switch between the original audio/visual style or a new, revamped aesthetic. Also included – no doubt for those who can’t take the heat of the mighty Bydo Empire – are options for infinite lives and a stage select, as well as a slowdown option, which would’ve saved me a ton of 10p coins back in 1987.
