Ah PC gaming
I had the good fortune of being introduced to the console and PC arena almost simultaneously. As such, I grew up with a wide variety of different games, but the 90s PC era was one of my consistent favorites. While waiting for great RPGs likeChrono Triggerand the nextFinal Fantasy, I could always retreat toJezzBall,Command & Conquer, and hundreds of others on a Compaq-386 and eventually, a Pentium series.
Now by way ofArchive.org’s Software Library, you can play roughly 1000 Windows 3.1 games includingMinesweeper, Glider, andSim Earth. Nostalgia aside some of these are actually really great experiences still — if you feel like wading through everything.
