Party stabilization errors TheDestinybeta kicked off yesterday on Xbox platforms, and it seems like Xbox One owners are having some issues. Most notably, there’s a problem with party stabilization — thankfully Bungie has responded to the issue very quickly. If you’re having errors on your Xbox One, turn off your console, unplug it, then restart it. That should be enough to solve it. Bungie has updatedtheir Beta FAQwith other tricks of the trade in case you’re having trouble....

Firing an arrow around the world This Saturday (October 17) is Robin Hood Day. I’m assuming it’s a day where everyone is more than welcome to run around wearing green tights and steal everything from everyone, but at the National Videogame Arcade in Nottingham they’re taking it a little bit more seriously. The NVA is known for doing kind of weird things, as I found outwhen I went to visita couple of months ago: they had the wholeNatural Electionthing for the UK General Election, and for Robin Hood day they’re firing a giant arrow around the world....

Sequel to the best 3DS rhythm game Square Enix’s follow-up toTheathrythm Final Fantasyhas finally been confirmed for release in North America. We saw this bigger, better version of Theathythmat Tokyo Game Show last year, and have been hoping for its western release ever since. It’s so good! Two new characters announced Koei Tecmo has decided to dump a bunch ofHeroic Legend of Arslan Warriorsscreens out into the wild for us to gander at, and man are they great. The character Gieve and Farangis have been added to the game, and a few details have been provided in regards to how the actual armies will be handled. Evidently you can use a new super called the “Mardan Rush,” which allows you army (infantry, archers, and cavalry) to perform an all out assault on foes....

Also an obnoxious non-apology Promotional materials for Ubisoft’s recently releasedMight & Magic Heroes VIIpromised a physical, disc copy of the game would be included with the $100 limited edition, as documented in detail onImgur. As it turns out, the big box doesn’t even contain adownload codefor the game, but rather required buyers (at least ones in the United States) to contact Ubisoft to add the game to their Uplay accounts....

Ubisoft isn’t happy Ubisoft has built a nice little empire for itself, but that empire is in danger if parent company Vivendikeeps on buying up stock in it. Back in 2015 the latter owned 6% of the former. That was raised to 15% in 2016, and Ubisoft founder Yves Guillemot even pleaded to avoid a hostile takeover back in February. Now, they own roughly 17.73% of capital shares and 15.66% of voting shares....

In the face of overwhelming odds, not least of which the limited lucidity of Suda51’s narrative style orsabotagefrom within our own ranks, I have almost finished my playthrough ofKiller 7. Yes, the second series of Backlog is drawing to a close, so it’s time to start giving thought to what our next endeavor will be. Uh, there’s no similar promotion for the PlayStation 4, I’m afraid. No, I don’t understand why not, either. Sad face. Naturally, you won’t get open access to everything, but you will get to play with four monsters, five modes, 18 hunters and 19 different maps....

Borderlands kicks off the daily deals As Microsoft is one to do annually, tomorrow begins a newsale on Xbox games and add-onsto celebrate the end of another year. The event, which will last until December 23, features a series of downloads that are available for the duration of the sale, and a handful that are only discounted for one day at a time. Perhaps in anticipation of the (upcoming?) release ofSamurai Basara: Samurai Heroes,for the PlayStation 3and, oddly enough the Wii, orBattle Heroes,a PSP game in the same vein, Kaiyodo is producing a Power Shop set of Revoltech figures from the series. Localized (poorly) asDevil Kings,Sengoku Basaraare a set of hack-and-slash games that take place in the Sengoku period of Japan, featuring Date Masamune and Sanada Yukimura, two historical samurai tasked with killing the sh*t out of tons of dudes....

As you may have read in ourfine preview ofDiablo III, Blizzard’s next chapter in the revered dungeon-crawling series will require a persistent connection to Battle.net, even if one wants to play solo. Yep, it’s everybody’s favorite form of DRM, back in action! Executive producer Rob Pardo is not calling it DRM, however, insteadtelling PC Gamerthat it’s an anti-cheating measure: “One of the things that we felt was really important was that if you did play offline … you’d start a character, you’d get him all the way to level 20 or level 30 or level 40 or what have you, and then at that point you might decide to want to venture onto Battle....
