Fans of game music will want to check out PBS on July 31st to see a special presentation of the Video Games Live concerts. The station is going to feature a 90-minute special that will show new, live performances of music from our favorite games. Eugen Systems is back withWargame: AirLand Battle, a follow-up to its real-time strategy gameEuropean Escalation. This sequel retains the 1975-85 Cold War setting, in addition to the eight nations featured by its predecessor. Four new ones have been added, which brings the vehicle/unit count up to a whopping 750+. Improvements to the IRISZOOM Engine, a new Urban Combat Interface for battles within cities, and an upgraded Deck system for army customizing in single- and multiplayer are being promised....

‘More muscle tone’ World of Warcraft‘s artists have been hard at work this year redesigning the female Night Elf model. Senior art director Chris Robinson note that every character model in the game will be improved by the timeWarlords of Draenorhits, but the new Night Elf has become “more defined…more realistic…with more musctle tone.” They also wanted to give her a bit more pronounciation in terms of the Night Elf race’s feral nature, and even went so far as to redesign her fingernails for this purpose....

What is the plan for this game? Comcept has released its newest plans forMighty No. 9— post-release DLC. The DLC goal is $190,000 in additional funding, and involves a new rival boss character for Beck named Ray (a name that could be changed). Yep, he totally doesn’t look completely likeMega Man‘s Zero (and a bit of Bass) at all in any way shape or form. Nope. Look, I get that the Kickstarter was successful, and there’s clearly an audience for the game....

While nowhere near as insane as theNano Edition, the Limited Edition ofCrysis 2isn’t half bad. Especially when you consider that it doesn’t cost anything extra to purchase. Yeah, this is one of those “Please GOD buy our game now instead of getting it used three months from now” scenarios. So, what will your near-launch-day purchase get you? A handful of things, all of which are based in multiplayer: bonus experience points, digital camouflage for the SCAR, day-one access to the SCAR hologram decoy, and a unique platinum dog tag....

Not quite as major as some fixes in the first Dark Souls Fresh off its newCrown of the Sunken KingDLC, From Software has updated and tweakedDark Souls IIfor everyone. Weapons have been balanced (with extra or decreased damage depending on the item), and spells have been tweaked in the exact same way, but generally have better tracking capabilities. Other housekeeping things have been fixed, like a hilarious glitch where the Dragonrider would fall off the arena at the start of the boss battle....

Patch 2.4 I still can’t believe that Blizzard is updatingDiablo IIIas often as they are, nearly four years later. I always enjoyed the game quite a bit, but it wasn’t until they eliminated their Auction House and added Loot 2.0 that it got to a truly masterful level. Since then, theReaper of Soulsexpansion added on top of all of that greatness. Patch 2.4is the latest of the bunch, and it’s a doozy....

Videogame accessories! We don’t cover them enough on Destructoid but we’re attempting to give them better coverage. So that’s why I went to Power A’s booth at E3 to see their upcoming product lineup. I saw a number of accessories, such as their Wii lineup. Up first is the Wireless Ultra Sensor Bar, a great alternative to the standard Wii sensor bar. The larger size of the sensor bar allows for better communication with multiple people and at greater distances too....
