Mega Man Comic-Con-exclusive variant cover shall be mine!

Slowly but surely, I’m catching up on all the non-E3 news I missed while I was in Los Angeles last week. And when it comes toMega Man-related stories, I attempt to be on top of them like white on rice (as though that wasn’t obvious to anyone who has ever read my writing). At the San Diego Comic-Con in July, Archie will be selling a special event-exclusive variant ofMega Man#14 with one of those sketch covers thatpeople love so much....

NPD: Digital PC sales overtake retail PC sales

Last year, it was declared by the NPD Group that retail PC games were still outselling their digital counterparts. Now, for the first half of 2010, it has been revealed that the tables have turned. Digital sales now outnumber retail sales in the PC market. Between January and June of this year, PC games have sold 11.2 million digital copies versus 8.2 physical ones. That said, however, physical copies still generate 57% more revenue, which is likely the result of higher prices and less absolutely ludicrous (yet very welcome) sales....

Overheard at E3 2012: Sh***ing in the dark edition

One of my personal favorite things about E3 is the eclectic crowd that it attracts. Considering how accessible videogames are these days, it’s not hard for anyone to think that people from all walks of life will migrate to the most epic gamer gathering spot of the year. And, to Destructoid’s enjoyment, they all possess a relatively unfiltered brain, and will say pretty much anything that comes to mind. That’s why we write it down....

The ideal microgame can fit in a pocket and requires only a few minutes rather than a few hours. Pleasant Dreamsis one such game. Despite its simple engine it features an interesting competitive dynamic that can evolve over time....
