Fight monsters, make friends Loop8: Summer of Godsis a game I have been looking forward to since I first caught wind of it nearly a year ago. From Xseed Games, Marvelous, and developer SIEG Games,Loop8follows the exploits of protagonist Nini as he navigates life, friendship, and a demon invasion in 1980s Japan. The game takes place over the month of August in the quaint country town of Ashihara. The town is one of the last sanctuaries on Earth from the demon invasion and Nini, blessed with the power of Demon Sight, can reset time to the beginning of the month each time he and his friends fail to fight off the demon horde....

This teaser was gayer than all of the MCU movies combined The first season ofMarvel’s Runawaysended on a significant note, as the main characters of the Hulu series, uh, actually ran away. This teen-focused show in the mold ofRiverdaleis returning for a second season, with the titular Runaways on the run from their parents after discovering their nefarious criminal activities. Now that these superpowered characters are more of a cohesive unit, the show can focus now on the group trying to uncover more secrets, all while dealing with their own personal dramas....

Charge into some savings GMG appears to be bringing back coupon codes for a limited time. PC gamers can now take an additional 3% off almost all titles on its site. The percentage off is kind of weak by itself, but thenew GMG codewill stack with existing instant savings. This means some of those upcoming 15% to 20% off titles are now much more enticing, with some big releases now up to 28% off....

Multiplayer, monsters Deep Down, Capcom’s free-to-play PS4 action game, was meant to get a beta in Japanthis summer, but producerKazunori Sugiura has announced the beta test will be delayed until 2015. Localization details have yet to come up. We last touchedDeep Downlast year at TGS. It was absent from E3. We’ll see if a new, playable build is at TGS this year. Otherwise, Capcom has released some new gameplay, including some multiplayer bits....

Other territories to follow next month If you, like me, can’t wait to put on your dancing shoes and straighten the rug with the stars ofPersona 3 & 5, then today might be your lucky day. The U.S. PSN store has just released demos for bothPersona 3: Dancing in Moonlight, andPersona 5: Dancing in Starlight, for PS4. Each demo contains two kickin’ tracks from the full release, to give you a taster of the anime rhythm action, which will feature all of your favourite, beloved characters such as Mitsuru Kirijo, Ryuji Sakamoto, Makoto Niijima, and Aigis....

So many protagonists, so little time. One of the great things about being Square Enix is it has such a rich and diverse history of RPGs from the NES, SNES, and PlayStation eras it can pull from when it wants to remaster a classic. Case in point,SaGa Frontier. Originally released for the PlayStation back in 1997, the seventh game in theSaGafranchise will have a chance to find a brand new audience whenSaGa Frontier Remasteredhits Switch, PlayStation 4, Steam, iOS, and Android next summer....

Metal Gear Rising + American Psycho = YES Metal Gear‘s Raiden may be part machine, but that doesn’t mean he can’t lead a peaceful life of solitude and introspection up in his penthouse apartment. But something about fruit just sends him over the edge. Literally. No lie, this video is amazing. Brandon Laatsch of freddiew organized this whole shebang and even managed to get Quinton Flynn, the actual voice of Raiden, to reprise his speaking role....

Version 1.0 is out on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One Whether you already ownRisk of Rain 2or you’ve been waiting for the 1.0 update to land on consoles, today’s the day. The fifth –but not final– major update rolled out on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. Before you ask, yes: the Switch version plays well enough to warrant a recommendation. What does 1.0 entail? Most importantly, there’s a new stage and ensuing final boss – along with a “proper ending” – and a new survivor,Captain, who wields microbots and a shotgun....

While details are scarce at the moment, there’s a possibility that Nvidia may unleash a SUPER variant of its RTX 4080 graphics card that has 20GB of RAM. It appears as though some information has fallen into the hands of leakers who assert that the boosted RTX 4080 is in the works....

While the idea of adding loot boxes and so much season pass DLCstilldoesn’t sit well with me,Shadow of Waris indeed getting some free stuff to offset it. As announced by way of their Twitter account, and “Endless Siege” mode is coming on November 21 alongside of a Rebellion mission, as well as an enhanced photo mode with filters, frames and extra textures....

Well-timed Zelda: Breath of the Wildanime heroics strike again, asthis player (jussinik)perfectly blocked a Guardian beam with an errant backflip. Using a trusty rusty shield, they manage to flip at the exact moment where the beam hits them, breaking it in the process. They know it’s not a true “parry,” but we know exactly what they’re talking about! One of the best parts is how hurried Link seems in the video....
