Putting one side in the ground EA has made its allegiances known. In theeverlasting war between plants and zombies, the arboreal and the once-alive, EA has sided with the leafy oxygen-providers. Probably a good choice! In contribution to theTeamTreescharity effort, EA has donated $500,000 to help plant 500,000 trees. And it’s in the name ofPlants vs. Zombies, of course. Neutrality be damned, it only makes sense that EA would support plants; imagine EA making a big financial investment in bringing more zombies into the world....

Long live the king For Honor‘s upcoming Marching Fire update looks as though it’s designed to shake up the game in a significant way. In addition to the newWuLinfaction, the update also introduces Breach, an asymmetrical game mode that has one team trying to break into a castle and kill their opponent’s king while the other side does everything in their power to stop the siege. After its debut at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference, Breach’s minute-to-minute gameplay was detailed in a narrated walkthrough....

Including classic games GOG.com and Linux seem like a perfect couple but, last we heard, the digital distributor wasn’t planning on supporting the operating system in theforeseeable future. Heck of an update on that front: Linux support is now planned for new and old games alike this fall. “We’re initially going to be launching our Linux support on GOG.com with the full GOG.com treatment for Ubuntu and Mint.
