I was a fan of DoubleSix’sBurn Zombie Burn, an arcade-style shooter with some very well-implemented scoring and a whole mess of zombies to set ablaze. As such, I’m quite excited for the follow-up,All Zombies Must Die, which is more of a story-driven game with RPG elements and still more zombies. Truth be told, it reminds me a lot ofZombies Ate My Neighbors, one of my all-time favorite games from the fourth console generation....

Currently, the Xbox 360 is a hard-to-acquire item in Japan thanks to the country going crazy forTales of Vesperia. When the 360 returns, it will sport a massive price cut. The Arcade system will drop by ¥8,000 to ¥19,800 ($182) while the Pro and Elite models will be dropping down by ¥5,000 and ¥8,000, pricing them at ¥29,800 and ¥39,800 respectively....

A trailer forNo More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradisehas appeared, getting us all pumped up for Travis Touchdown’s HD debut. The video, unfortunately, is of low quality, but you get the general idea. There’s loads of blood and Japanese voiceovers shouting “It’s game time!” Still no word on a Western publisher since Ubisoft declined, but hopefully we’ll hear of one soon. I’m rather glad Ubisoft chosenot to publish this game, considering what a piss-poor job it did with the original Wii game....
50 games expected to be available in 2016 During a press event at the Game Developers Conference today, Sony announced its price and release plans for PlayStation VR. The PS4 virtual reality device will be out this October in North America, Europe, and Asia for $399 / CAD $549 / €399 / £349 / 44,980 yen. Sony didn’t stream the event, but someone had it up onPeriscope. What a time to be alive....

We’ve heard rumors all year thatFinal Fantasy Versus XIII, the long dormant companion title to 2009’sFinal Fantasy XIII, had been canceled. Until we get official word from Square-Enix, the cancellation will have to remain a rumor, but this report from the fine folks atKotaku is pretty convincing. It would be logical for Square-Enix to move away from theFinal Fantasy XIIIbrand at this point. The whole purpose of linkingVersus XIIItoFinal Fantasy XIIIback in 2006 was to show consumers that the next evolution in theFinal Fantasyseries was to be a gigantic, multi-dimensional,very importantenterprise....
According to sources speaking with fan siteThis Is Xbox, Infinity Ward’s next title will be a prequel to 2007’sCall of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The source claims that the game will focus onModern Warfare 2‘s masked soldier, Ghost, detailing how he came to be a member of Task Force 141. The game is said to re-visit many of the locations from bothModern Warfareand its sequel. The source also says not to expect the game this year, which shouldn’t be a problem for Activision — we’re sure they’ve got anotherCall of Dutygame (or three) lined up somewhere....
