We’ve already seenWolfensteinandMedal of Honorspoofed, but it’s not just war games that come under the lampooning eye ofThe Simpsons Game.The Simpsons, set to parody a variety of famous and well-known titles, shares its take onEverquestin this latest trailer, imaginatively titledNeverquest.It’s looking quite decent so far, with a great visual quality that matchesThe Simpson‘s style, much likeHit & Rundid. Of course, until we get somehands-on timewith it, we can only speculate whether or not this will be one of the rare successes or all-too-common failures inThe Simpsons‘ history of videogame licenses....

They may as well sell the shorts to Netflix anyway I’ve really enjoyed the cross-media efforts from Blizzard forOverwatch. It manages to stay out of the realm of oversaturation, especially since they’re dropping it in variable spurts across sparing shorts and comics from a swath of talented artists — most recently, we gotan anime teaser for Doomfist. But this faux Netflix trailer does show that the universe is already ready for a Netflix show....

Avatar: The Last Airbenderwas — and still is, to a degree — a monument inanimated storytelling. It had a wealth of well-written characters with believable struggles and a world perfectly molded around them, and I haven’t encountered many who don’t agree it’s one of the greats. But, even with a collective seven seasons and way more books, there’s still so much we don’t know about the world ofAvatar: The Last Airbender....

Round and round we go There is no such thing as high-levelRoller ChampionsbecauseRoller Championsitself barely exists. Its introduction to the world came last week with an E3 announcement and a surprise technical alpha that was open to everyone. At this stage, everyone’s an amateur. That’s a tough spot becauseRoller Championscould shine once players become competent enough to perform cool feats. The problem is that I’m not convinced the framework is flexible in a way that will allow players to continually get better....

In anopen letter to its community, Unity has revealed its reworked free structure and controversial runtime fee changes. Under the new structure, the Unity Personal edition will remain free and incur no runtime fee. The new cap before the fee starts has been increased from $100,000 to $200,000, and no game with under $1 million in trailing 12-month revenue will be subject to the fee. Interestingly, the new Runtime Fee will only apply to the next version of Unity that is shipping in 2024....

Kittens. Is there anything they can’t do? Blizzard will once again be using theWorld of WarcraftPet Store to help aid those who have been affected by natural disasters. This time, it’s the Cinder Kitten, shown above, which will be available for $10 in the near future. Yeah, it’s kind of cute — but even better, 100 percent of the proceeds earned during the charity drive (again, details forthcoming) will go to supporting the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Sandyrelief efforts....

Even thoughWarcraft Rumblejust released today, or yesterday for some regions, itsfirst Seasonis already under way. The first season focuses on a new playable leader, Sylvanas Windrunner. Players will be able to add Sylvanas to their collection of Leaders via the Guild Warchest, PvP, or via the store. She will also be added to the G.R.I.D. at the start of Season 2. Sylvanas seems like a pretty interesting Leader, having playedWarcraft Rumblejust a little bit....

Well, there are a few things you can try. Typically, Pals tend to perform as expected while out in the world. Most times, you’re able to toss a Pal Sphere to summon a friend to aid you in a fight or help you cross great distances with easeas a mount....

Palworldis a game where you don’t often have to think about your actual save game file. If, for any reason, you need to back it up or move it, it can be tough to find. It’s buried in the user documents behind some vaguely named folders. Let’s just move on to the next paragraph, where I can be more specific. Palworld save games location for Steam On PC, if you want to reach your save data, just paste this path into Windows Explorer’s address bar:%localappdata%\Pal\Saved\SaveGamesand it should take you straight to it....

Just morph spit balling here [Art byMartin Summerfield] Nintendo recently revealed thatFatal Frame Vwill feature an alternate costume modeled after Zero Suit Samus. The reveal trailer for the outfit currently has a likes-to-dislikes ratio of about 9-to-1 on YouTube. Compare that to the approximate 1-to-9 likes-to-dislikes ratio of theMetroid Prime: Federation Forcereveal trailerand it’s clear to see that fans are far more accepting towards seeing a Samus-like lead in a not-Metroidgame than aMetroid-likegame about not-Samus characters....

The decision is left with individual game developers Mouse and keyboard support on consoles can be a tricky thing to sort out, particularly when it comes to competitive games like shooters. Do you let keyboard and mouse users take on gamepad players? Do you split them up? Do you even have a big enough audience to warrant segmenting the groups? I think Microsoft has the right idea for Xbox One. Basically, it’s up to developers to decide....
