Franchise Lego’d to within an inch of its life
Last week’sStar Wars Celebrationevent was the place to be if you wanted to hear about the stealth existence of new projects. We hadJanina Gavanker mentioning theHorizon Zero Dawnsequel, and Skywalker Sound’s Matt Wood has also seemingly confirmed the existence of a newLego Star Warstitle.
Speaking during an interview, Wood mentioned that he was currently busy with an unannouncedLego Star Warsproject, although he didn’t specifically state that it was a video game. However, Eurogamerhasalsoreceived wordthat a new title in the never-ending Lego video game franchise is in development, with the new title said to be an “ambitious” project.
Given that we’ve already had games based onStar Wars’original trilogy, prequels,Clone WarsandThe Force Awakens, it always stood to reason that we’d eventually see games based onThe Last Jediand/orThe Rise of Skywalker. Interestingly, Eurogamer has heard mention that this new project may cover theStar Warssagain its entirety. If true, that’s a helluva lot of bricks and button-mashing.
