Kickstarter has been one of the most interesting online phenomemans in recent years, funding a variety of projects from comics and novels to films and videogames. Now, sci-fi author Rick Dakan who wrote three instalments of his cyberpunk series Geek Mafia, has founded a newKickstarter project call Mob Rule.

The big idea behind Mob Rule is that backers will get to vote on what game actually gets developed, right now there’s three different games but only one will become a fully finished title. The three options that are available areGuerilla Gorilla, a squad-based strategy game;Haunts, where players face off as either ghosts or supernatural investigators and finallyThe Last Second, a puzzle game where you control a device that can pause time for a few seconds to foil crime.

Each of the potential titles look interesting, withThe Last Second’scolourful art-deco styling catching my eye specifically. The Mob Rule project needs $20000 to get under way and they’re looking to get that funding within the next 30 days, then a vote will be held with the backers getting to choose the title. If that all pans out we should be seeing the completed game by the end of next year.
