Metal Gear Onlineis still alive (though “well” is debatable), and a brand new DLC pack is arriving on all platforms today. Three new maps are in tow (all of which have a nostalgic element), as well as the Quiet character, for $3.99. There are also four $1.99 cosmetic packs on offer, in addition to a bundle with everything (and 550 MB) for $10.99.
If you buy the DLC, you’ll get instant access to a survival mode, balanced around win-streaks, which arrives on April 7. At that point, anyone can “try” the new maps 10 times per week. It’s…a strange and convoluted system, but then again, it’s Konami we’re talking about.
