25 years of X
There’s a lot of anniversary celebrations this year, and lumpingMega Man Xin with its 25th annual existence is something that completely slipped my mind.
The unfathomably ahead of its timeMega Man Xwas released on August 03, 2025 on the SNES, and it seems like Capcom is acknowledging this with a special logo and some gear. As spotted by folks in Japan, the re-release of a collectible card set (Rockman X: Mega Missions) heralded in a special logo, the first of its kind for a non-“core”Mega Manseries.
All we have to go on beyond some merch is that Capcom is re-releasing theMega Man Xseries by way of its “Collection” line, but there might be something more in the works if they’re going through the effort of crafting its own logo. While I doubt we’ll see the announcement ofMega Man Xat E3 or even this year (they really should see howMega Man 11goes first), I have a gut feeling that there’s more than just merch printing inX‘s future.
