It looks likeMechWarrior Onlineis on its way tofinallycome out. The first step is releasing a teaser trailer, and what do you know? Here we finally are teaser trailer in hand. It gives a first look at the view inside the cockpit where the pilot is hitting various switches and buttons to prep his mech for the drop into the battlefield. This is also the first look at the in-game assets, as the trailer was also developed using CryEngine 3.
I don’t know about you, but I all the recent influx of mech games has me overtly excited. And this year there’s plenty to get excited about withMechWarrior Tactics,Steel Battalion Heavy Armor, andHawkenall on the near-horizon. It’s also interesting that both theMechWarriortitles andHawkenwill all be using the free-to-play model.MechWarrior Onlineis going to have to pull out all the stops this summer if it wants to be the go-to mech game.
