There’s something aboutMass Effectthat seems to make everybodygo crazy. Just take this action figure of Liara T’soni, whose originally generous breasts causeda huge ruckus. I didn’t see the big deal because mine are waaaay bigger than that, but this is the final figure, complete with aboob reduction.

Aside from the usual debate about sexual objectification, it was an interesting controversy, mostly because it showed just how much emotional investment people have in these characters. Gamers areprotectiveofMass Effect‘s personalities, it seems, and I find that fascinating. I’m not saying it’s good or bad — that depends on how individuals manifest their love — but it’s certainly interesting to watch.

It’ll retail for $59.99 in North America, although we should demand a discount since they’re obviously using less plastic for this version!
