Despite ongoing concerns regarding the temporary closure ofJapanese ratings board CERO, retro-enthusiasts Hamster continue to announce new titles that are headed to its expansive Arcade Archives range at some point in the future.
In a recent Arcade Archiver live stream, the publisher announced that the coming months will see the release of platform classicBurgerTime(1982), top-down racerBurnin’ Rubber(1982), obscure sci-fi shmupDarwin 4078, and finally the notoriously weird beat-’em-upTrio The Punch: Never Forget Me. All of the above were confirmed for Nintendo Switch.

No specific dates were revealed for any of these releases, but given that we’re still waiting on the March-announced trinity of Konami classicsSunset Riders,Gradius, andTrigon, coupled with the ongoing CERO issues, Hamster’s weekly schedule might be a little fragile for the foreseeable future. In the meantime, this week’s release is 1984 shmupTube Panic, and is available to download now on Nintendo Switch.
