Destiny 2‘sBlack ArmorySeason gave us many wonderful things like Le Monarque, Ada-1, and Hammerhead. The tail of that list was a favorite among many Guardians, myself included. Now it’s come home, looking better than ever. Here are the God Rolls to help you fall in love with it for either the first time or all over again.
On the third week ofInto the Light, Bungie righted a terrible wrong and brought Hammerhead back to us. Once you’ve logged in, as per usual, there will be a quest to speak with Arcite 99-40 in the Hall of Champions. Lord Shaxx’s right-hand Frame will hand you the quest for it.
After racking up a decent number of kills (Onslaught granting bonus progress), it’s time to head back to the Hall of Champions andattune to the Holo Shaxxholding this beauty of a weapon. Another conversation with Lord Shaxx will net you the shiny Curated Roll. Once attuned, Hammerhead will have a higher drop rate in Onslaught, making farming God Rolls easier.
PvE God Roll
Hammerhead is a multitalented monster with an affinity for clearing groups and draining boss health bars. Arrowhead Brake and Flared Magwell will keep you on target, while Fourth Time’s the Charm and Desperate Measures extend both firing time and damage. Thrown in the bonus Reload Speed and you’ll be back at it before the damage phase is up.
PvP God Roll
More people have gone to war over Heavy Ammo Bricks than Spartans did for Helen of Troy. As such, making the most of one can turn the tide in a match. This roll combines saying “hello” from a distance with increasing damage and a penchant for stripping overshields. Should your foes be hiding around a corner, send in your own Trojan Horse with some Ricochet Rounds.
