Even with a thousand planets to explore, lots ofStarfieldplayers are being distracted by something else in Bethesda’s space-faring adventure. Ship building is turning out to be a huge attraction for many players, but it’s not without issues. If you have been running into the “Your ship has unattached modules” error and cannot track it down, we have an easy fix for you.

How to find unattached modules in Starfield

To find unattached modules, hover your cursor over any part of your ship, then double-click with the mouse, or double-tap RB on your controller. This will highlight your entire ship, but with one caveat. It will only highlight parts of the ship that are attached to the part you click on. Anything that is unmatched will remain unselected. Now, move your entire selected ship left or right, and the unattached part will be left floating in the air.

After that, all you need to do is grab the unattached part and move it to where you want it to be. If you are struggling to get it to attach, that might be a bigger issue due to either the module you are choosing or the part you are trying to stick it to, not having the right attach points. For the most part, ship modules go together pretty easily, and when you are moving one around, you will be able to see appropriate attach points on the rest of the ship.

What seems to catch a lot of people out is the geometry of the module they are looking to attach. Some parts are just very awkwardly shaped and will not work very well in certain positions. In those cases, it can be good to rethink your design or try another part instead.

A really great way to design a ship inStarfieldis to use another ship as your base. It will get you used to the basics as you will be building upon and replacing elements of an already existing framework instead of starting from scratch. TheDragonfire II is a very popular shipwith builders at the moment due to its excellently balanced stats.
