League of Legendsplayers will get a dedicated TCG pretty soon with the launch ofRiftbound, and developers Riot Games have shared the first phase of plans for the upcoming launch.

UnlikeLegends of Runeterra,Riftboundwill be a physical card game with decks, booster packs, and more. With a launch coming later this year, let’s take a look at all the important information available to us.

Riftbound: League of Legends TCG Release Date

Theupcoming gamewill have regional launches, starting in China. This is scheduled to take place in the Summer of this year. The introduction of the game to English-speaking countries begins in October, and the rollout is expected to be completed sometime in 2026.

Unless there are unprecedented delays, the game should be available in major regions by the end of this year.

Riftbound: League of Legends TCG game modes

While the game is a physical card game (different fromRuneterra), it will have various game modes. You can choose from 1v1, 2v2, and free-for-all modes. The fun begins with Riftbound: Origins, which will be the first expansion to kick off proceedings.

A Proving Grounds version is also going to be available for 2-4 players, and it will be a great starting point for those looking to pick up the game. Those looking for a more competitive experience can choose from a variety of Champion Decks, which have 56 cards ready for action. Finally, there will be expansion packs featuring over 300 cards of all types.

PEAK Mesa biome

Card types will vary between Champions, Units, Legends, Gear, and more. Origins will have some of the fan-favorite names like Lee Sin, Jinx, Lux, and more. To get more cards, you can opt for the Booster Packs, which will have 14 cards in each of them.

For the time being, fans will have to wait patiently until the game debuts in China. So far, we have gotten glimpses of a few of the cards that will be part of the opening expansions. If executed properly,Riftboundcould become a big name in the world of TCGs.
