Hopefully it comes as a post-launch patch

WhileHogwartsLegacyhas a ton of stuff to do if you’re looking for a (frankly lengthy) 100% rating, it does not have a New Game+ mode. Let’s take a look at why that might be, and if it even makes sense to add one eventually in a post-launch patch.

After you finish the main story ofHogwarts Legacy, you’re free to explore the rest of the world

While there is no traditional New Game+ (NG+) mode inHogwarts Legacy, you are completely free to fly around and finish out everything left in the game.

That includes everything beyond the main story, post-game story missions, sidequests, and extras like Merlin Trials.

WillHogwarts Legacyget a New Game+ mode down the line?

With modern open world games, adding big features after the fact has become the norm: especially in regards to high-selling AAA titles. In that respect,it’s entirely possible thatHogwarts Legacywill add a New Game+ mode.

That said, there are some considerations to suss out mechanically. While the four houses in the Wizarding World universe do matter to some extent, things could get murky when it comes to New Game+ carry-over. The team will likely have to rework some house-specific scarf/emblem gear to transfer to a potentially new house: or even create some sort of system that skips the initial tutorial and fast-tracks the protagonist to a house of their choice.

Either way, a New Game+ mode would be fantastic for folks looking to get all four house-specific achievements/trophies.
