Destiny 2‘s Season 23 enters its fifth week, and with it comes a new Starcat to find. While Guardians might want to spend Week 5 ofSeason of the Wishbaking cookie recipes beforeThe Dawningends, the lone new Starcat won’t require too much time away from festivities.
That said, this week’s Starcat may trouble players, as it’s not where the game says it is. It seems to be a timing bug, but the latest Starcat Triumph revealed this week leads to nothing. Instead, Guardians will find the Week 5 Starcat within the Dreaming City.
Of course, players can still locate the previously revealed Starcats forWeek 1,Week 2,Week 3, andWeek 4.
It’s not in the Cell of the Sycophant, it’s in the Spine of Keres
Though theSeason of the Wishsecret Triumph revealed this week leads Guardians to believe a Starcat is now roaming the Cell of the Sycophant, there’s nothing to find. Instead, players might be surprised to learn that one of those cosmic kitties has shown up at the Spine of Keres.
The Spine of Keres is a location players can explore while on patrol in the Dreaming City. To get there, Guardians can land at Divalian Mists and head forward until they reach the cliff’s edge. Turning left, players must pass through the crystal-lined cave and around the corner. A few jumps impede the path ahead, but players will enter the Spine of Keres after the last one.
Guardians want to head into the large structure looming over the area. Inside, a Void-tinged orrery spins with stairs to the left and right. Heading up the right-side stairs leads players further up the tower. The second balcony on the way up will house a lone Techeun. A Starcat is hanging out on the bench just to the right.
Where does the Week 5 Starcat go?
A previously hidden Triumph becomes claimable after players interact with the Starcat in the Spine of Keres. As such, when Guardians return to the H.E.L.M., they’ll find the Spine of Keres Starcat there, not the Cell of the Sycophant kitty as was seemingly intended for Week 5. That said, players should ensure they claim their Triumph before returning to the H.E.L.M, as the Starcat won’t appear otherwise.
The Week 5 Starcat from the Spine of Keres can be found hanging out alongside some company in the Wing of the Wish. In the central chamber, with Mara’s throne, the Starcat is by the feet of two Techeuns near the Holoprojector.
While Week 5 didn’t debut the Starcat players expected, it’s bound to turn up in the Cell of the Sycophant eventually. In fact, there’s a good chance players can expect it to patter along into the game’s next weekly reset.
