Destiny 2players who moved over toWarframein the last month or so have been praising the game’s community for being so welcoming and helpful when they hit a roadblock and don’t know where to go or what to do.

Warframe‘s player base is well known for beingfriendly and welcoming, andDestiny 2players are seeing this firsthand as the latest group of displaced MMO players in need of a game with a developer they feel they can trust. TheWarframesubreddit is packed with thankful posts from new players, but it’s the way they’re being helped that’s so great. There are no spoilers, just hints about the next move to make, and misunderstanding a mechanic is never ridiculed as it might be in other communities.

Following the news of220 layoffs at developer Bungie, with more staff integrated into Sony, manyDestiny 2players left the game and looked toWarframeas their new MMO of choice. However, the game is dense with story and content, making it sometimes challenging to know where to go. Mercifully, the community has been shepherding these lost souls through the game’s content in the best way possible.

UserEve_Of_The_End’s postencapsulates everything that makesWarframe‘s player base such a positive community to be a part of. ThisDestiny 2player started off saying how lost they were, and three edits later, they’d received all the help they needed, gained a better attitude towards the content they have on the horizon, and even asked for new potential friends to join them.

User d3athandr3birthadds to this with a post that simply thanksWarframeplayers for being awesome. They explain where they’ve come from withDestiny 2and how they and their friends integrated it into their lives. The highlight of their post for me is, “Around here it seems people are not only interested in what people are doing in game but welcoming when they realize someone’s a new player.”

I don’t think anyone will disagree thataWarframeplayer’s first reactionwhen they meet someone new to the game is to be friendly, offer help, and probably even trade them some half-decent gear to help them work through a few quests.

As someone who has recently hopped back intoWarframewith a tonne of enthusiasm thanks toTennoCon, I’ve experienced this. Players can’t help but throw gear and resources at you so you’re ready for what’s to come and are genuinely excited to follow your journey. DespiteDestiny 2‘s new episodic content modelproviding fantastic storylines so far, it seems like players who want a strong and positive community may remain inWarframefor good.
