Prepare for the first of several FPS clashes to round out 2025 this weekend, gamers. It’sBattlefieldandCall of Dutyall over again.

On Thursday, Aug. 7, both theBattlefield 6open beta andBlack Ops 6season five updates will be going live. And so, just like later this fall, the two massive FPS franchises will be going head-to-head for gamers’ time and, eventually, money.

Black Ops 6 Season 5 Multiplayer Ransack Mode

This is the firstBattlefieldgame in several years, and there’s a lot of hype around the new title, so I’m expecting it to be hugely popular. But BO6 is bringing one final Zombies map, Reckoning, to the table. And there’s only so much time in the day to game, so a choice must be made.

CoD’sseason five will also be adding some new stuff toWarzoneandBO6multiplayer, so if you’re aCoDfan, there’s a good amount of stuff to try out. But willBF6be taking up your time instead?

And so now, I pose the question to you, dear readers: which FPS will be taking up your weekend? Will you be dun-dun dun-dun-dun’ing it inBF6, or will you be slaying zombies inBO6or dropping intoWarzone? Let us know in the comments below, but either way, have some fun.
