Despite only coming out today,Black Mythis boasting some staggering numbers onSteamDB. At the time of writing, the game has registered 2,151,942 players within the last few moments, and it’s going up all the time. That’s to say nothing of the PS5 figures.

To put that into perspective,Elden Rings‘s peak concurrent player counton PC was 953,426 about two and a half years ago. Even more mind-blowing, it’s beaten this year’s smash hitPalworld, which, at its highest, registered 2,101,867 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.

Given what we’re currently seeing – seriously,Wukong‘s concurrent player count keeps going up literally as I’m writing this – it’s almost certain that the game is going to smashPUBG‘s figures. By the time this gets published on the site, that may already have happened.
For something that, to some, appears to have come out of nowhere,Black Myth: Wukongis easily going to be the talk of the town. Its gorgeous visuals and lean toward Chinese mythology are evidently things that have tickled a lot of people’s fancies.
