Beyond the Game, a slick-looking documentary about videogames and videogame culture that wecovered on the site before, is currently being filmed and finalized. The independent film has been in development for almost a year and a half, and, while filming is coming to a close, the filmmakers are looking for donations to help them with that much-needed push to the finish line.

Full disclosure: I was interviewed for a segment in the documentary a couple weeks ago, but in no way is that my main motivation for promoting the film. When I met with the filmmakers (huge Destructoid fans!), I could immediately tell they were good guys who genuinely want to make a movie showing videogames and the gamers that surround them in a positive, inspiring light.
