If you want to become a Formula 1 World Champion or dominate opponents online, you’ll need to get the most out of your gamepad. That’s why I’ve put together the bestF1 24controller settings to improve your handling and bring your lap times down.

While some fans of the series use a racing wheel and pedals to race, not everyone has the time, space, or desire to set up a full sim-racing rig. That’s why many stick to using their controller, which can still provide good control over your car.

While the basic setup for controllers is adequate, tinkering with the settings can make your car even faster, and an advantage over those who haven’t gone in-depth into the options. That’s why I’ve got all the controller settings that I use to get a leg-up on my online opponents.

Calibration

Vibration and Force Feedback

Of course, a lot of these are going to end up being your personal preference, but the decreased Maximum Wheel Rotation is going to be super helpful for tight turns like the Loews Hairpin at Monaco or the difficult corners in Singapore.

The increased Steering Input can help you take corners more smoothly, while turning down the Off Track Effects will help you stay in control of your car should you take a trip off the track. It’s much easier to get back on the tarmac when your controller isn’t shaking in your hands.
