Japan wins again
Japanese convenience store chain Lawson was already beyond amazing with their fried treats, assortment of novelty ice creams, and well-stocked fresh food section, but they’ve leveled up even further with their choice of grocery bags to put that all in.

Get a load of these slime bags! These Dragon Quest-inspired red or blue bags are to promote the upcoming release ofDragon Quest VII: Warriors of Edenon 3DS in Japan.RocketNews24says that they’ll start giving them out from January 26, though you’ll have to buy enough to warrant needing a bag first.
And here’s a related travel tip from my upcoming book[seriously!]on traveling to Japan. Those silly travel guides always leave out a phrase that you’re likely to hear if you visitkombinilike Lawson. Buy more than two items and you’ll hear something like‘fukuro wa yoroshii desu ka?’from the clerk. They would be asking if you’d like a bag. In this case, you’d say yes.
