The popular manga/anime breaches the walls of another medium
Attack on Titanproducer George Wada said the previously announcedAttack on Titangame is coming in 2014,Anime News Network reports. Few details are known besides the vague, year-long release window and that the game will be produced either as a “console or portable video game,” meaning you don’t have to plan to have you hopes dashed when its revealed to be a Japan-only cellphone game.
Localization, theoretically, shouldn’t be too much of an issue, either. The manga has been licensed for US publishing by Kodansha Comics USA, the company responsible for theAkiramanga reprint that’s sitting behind me on my bookshelf. Meanwhile, the anime adaptation is currently airing in Japan and available for pain free streaming with subtitles from bothCrunchyrollandFunimation.

Despite most people I know keeping up with the anime about giant humanoid monsters demolishing and devouring the last bastions of civilization, I’m a bit behind and not all that itching to catch up (I’ve gotThe Woman Called Fujiko Mineto watch, along with NBC’s startlingly goodHannibal). Still, not too hard to see what directions such a game could go, what with the giant monsters to defend against. Anything you’d like to see in it?
