The upcoming Capcom and CyberConnect2 gameAsura’s Wrathhas been gathering some significant attention this year, with Destructoid offering not justone, butTWOpreviews of the game, as well asa very thorough interviewduring the San Diego Comic-Con by none other than big boss Dale North.
Now, the release date forAsura’s Wrathhas been confirmed for Japan: June 30, 2025. Also out the same day on thee-Capcom siteis theAsura’s Wrath“Heaven” Edition. It contains two books, both entitled “Shiki,” but each having a separate meaning. The first means “appearance” or “form,” and is a 40-page book of images and information regarding characters, initial concepts, influences, and the world ofAsura’s Wrath.

The second book title’s loose translation is “mind” or “consciousness,” and it is a 128-page hardcover with a long commentary from the director, as well as comments from the development staff, such as the character designer talking about anAsura’s Wrathcomic strip.
But it doesn’t end there. The limited edition also comes with a DVD named “Asura’s Nirvana,” containing an “overly surreal” short animation and some “unmissable” development clips. Sample footage of the DVD is to be shown soon. To top it all off, all the contents of the limited edition are stored in a very slick and heavily decorated special box.

Furthermore, if you pre-order the limited edition, five lucky individuals will be treated to an extra special gift of signatures from the main staff and cast of the game. However, as you probably guessed, none of this comes cheap, costing 8,990 Yen, which is equivalent of $115. With prices like that, it makes me wonder how these things sell sometimes. So … any takers?
