Producer’s Facebook post teases series
Frenetic filmmaker Adi Shankar announced this morning that Ubisoft have asked him to produce an animated series based on theAssassin’s Creedfranchise. This comes hot on the heels of Shankar’s gig as executive producer for the upcomingCastlevaniaTV series.
Shankar is renowned for working with established fictional franchises, often producing dark, violent shorts starring some of pop-culture’s most beloved psychopaths, such asVenom, The Punisher, Judge Dreddand erm..Power Rangers.
There is no further news regarding this particularAssassin’s Creedventure, but there’s no doubt the period settings, stark violence, huge cast of characters and time-hopping storyline would lend itself well to television. In the meantime,Shankar’sCastlevaniaseries hits NetflixJuly 7.
