Whether or not we received a game in theFushigi no Dungeonseries in North America has always been rather scattershot. ThePokemon Mystery Dungeongames are generally a safe bet, but we were passed by for a lot ofShiren the Wanderergames. For example,Shiren the Wanderer 4was never localized. It was originally released in 2010 on the DS before getting this upgrade “Plus” port on the PSP in 2012.

If you’ve never played a game in theMystery Dungeonseries, they’re roguelite dungeon crawlers. I’ve personally only picked away at the surface of a few of the titles, but I think it’s about time to change that. If you’re interested in taking the dive but don’t want to mess around with fan translations, the newest entry,Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil, iscoming to Switchin North America June 04, 2025.
