Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s DLC watch has nearly ended

Approaching a year of paid and free support Assassin’s Creed Odysseylaunched last October, and the final major DLC pack fortheAtlantisstorylineended in July. That’s a decent run for what is ostensibly a single player RPG, but Ubisoft isn’t done just yet. As detailed in the September update video below, more stuff is on the way. Discovery Tour (read: the “Educational Mode”) is still coming, and if you haven’t experienced the EgyptianOriginsrendition yet, you’re in for a treat....

Assassin’s Creed Unity’s free DLC is a week away, and it looks too spooky

Human remains will do that Assassin’s Creed Unitywas mostly an adventure that took place on the crowded Parisian streets, all jam-packed with people. The game’s first add-on looks to be similarly populated — not by lively dissenters, but by the skulls, bones, and spirits of the post-alive. Ubisoft announced today that theDead KingsDLC, which is free for allUnityowners, will release on January 13. In the accompanying cinematic trailer, we see that much of Arno’s time is spent in the Saint Denis underground selectively touching human remains and swinging sharp weapons on rope bridges....

Back inJune, we told you about Brash Entertainment’s plans to take on the niche market of movie-based games, and how they had secured the necessary licensing needed to bring favorites such asSawto the game screen. IGN was lucky enough to attend the recentpress eventhosted by Brash, where they watched a short teaser trailer forSaw: The Game, that featured none other than the Jigsaw puppet himself, with a stern warning for those in attendance: game journalists are wasting their lives in industry....

Bullet Run closes up shop because no one played it

Last day is Jun 02, 2025 I actually played the free-to-playBullet Runat E3. Oh, how naive I was back then. If you read the article, you’ll see that I actually sorta enjoyed playing the game on the show floor. Silly me. When it was released, I finally gave it another whirl, with some pretty fond memories of that E3 experience. The real game, however, was pretty awful. The grind for in-game currency was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced and the base game was incredibly shallow....

Check out Quantum Break’s live-action show

All about the villains Quantum Breakhits next week, April 5, on PC (Windows 10 only) and Xbox One. Remedy’s time travel shooter didn’t sit right with me for years dating back to when I saw the game at E3 2013, but arecent preview eventallayed those concerns, because the game is fun as hell. Remedy can still make a tight, slick shooter. But one ofQuantum Break‘s less conventional hooks? Live-action, TV-like episodes between each of the game’s five acts (so there are four of these bad boys in total)....

Deadpool, Dead Space & Dead Tired Of SimCity’s BS

The Destructoid Show got sent home from school today for cursing Hey everybody! Here’s today’s Destructoid Show! I’m guessing you guys have heard about all the nonsense going on withSimCity, so if you’re sick of it by this point, I apologize. There’s a new trailer forDeadpool, which I’m a bit underwhelmed by.Dead Space 3‘s DLC sounds like it’s a return to survival-horror. The Kickstarter forShadowrun Returnsraised almost two million dollars, and we’ve got 20 minutes of new gameplay to show what that money went towards....

Did the Umbrella Corporation help write the TPP? (Fauxclusive)

You down with TPP? The full text of the Trans Pacific Partnership, the massive trade deal that will finally turn the Pacific Rim into one giant corporatocracy, was released yesterday to an expected amount of skepticism. While government officials in all of the participating states are endorsing the deal, so are many business entities; including the Umbrella Corporation, which held a press conference this morning throwing its support behind the bill....

Downwell has a simple premise but it’s damn fun

Three-button bliss A glance atDownwell‘s tricolor palette in still shots doesn’t really do it justice. Watching it in motion gives a better idea what it does, but not until actually playing it does it all click. It is built around a simple mechanic: press the button to jump; press it again in the air to fire gun boots downward. The recoil doesn’t act as a double jump exactly. No extra height can be gained from the shots, but the little protagonist’s descent can be slowed....

Even your goldfish can have Mushroom Kingdom adventures!

AMariofish tank: great idea or greatest idea? Inside this 55-galloon tank is an abridged recreation of level 1-1 fromSuper Mario Bros.Mario, the enemies, and all the bricks are LEGO pieces, painted over, then sealed with clear enamel, while the pipes are painted PVC pipes. It probably would have been more fitting to do level 2-2, but that’s just nitpicking on my part. My roommate made a Super Mario Bros scene inside his 55 gallon fish tank....
