Ouch, Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII remake to launch ‘in the next three years or so’

Due by 2020 Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsudahas some bad news for people expecting a surprise 2017 first chapter release ofFinal Fantasy VII Remake— a slide during a fiscal year presentation has revealed that it’s expected “within the next three years or so.” Marvel also mentions its Marvel IP project (which I totally forgot they had) as something on the horizon. While I could probably wait 20 more years forKingdom Hearts III(all of the algebraic spinoffs and sequels are a pretty good way to pass the time), I’m extremely anxious to see howFinal Fantasy VIIplays out....

Review: SteelSeries Siberia 350 USB headset

Like wearing a hissing cloud SteelSeries has been my brand of choice when it comes to gaming headphones for years now. After breaking or being unimpressed with tons of other brands, the Siberia V2 was the first one that really clicked for me. It was the perfect mix of cost, sound quality, and comfort, and I stuck with that thing foryears, eventually buying another one just like it when the first finally packed in....

Shenmue 3 needs $10 million for a true open world

What are we really getting at what cost? Shenmue 3‘s existence is pretty neat. Its presence on a major publisher’s stage show to hock a Kickstarter is less neat, to me. Obviously the $2 million goal (and $3.5 million raised at time of writing) would not be enough forShenmue 3, so there’s word thatSony’s pitching in, but also: “Currently we are planning development only for PC (Windows) and PS4. Other platforms have not been decided yet....

They’re pretty easy to make, too My wife has really gotten me into the art (ha) of arts of crafts over the past decade plus: creating game related stuff only helps motivate me. This Stardew Valley player set up a market right outside of Pierre’s

And it’s even open Wednesdays ThisStardew Valleyplayer market has one goal: stick it to Pierre. Setting up shop right outside of Pierre’s is a war cry, and although it’s more figurative than a literal mechanical clapback, I get it. This perfect image by Redditor shiraa_sums up a lot of people’s thoughts about Pierre: he’s closed on Wednesdays, and sucks. It’s that simple. If you’re confused as to why anyone would want to target a small business owner, you can read up on the juicy drama here....

toco toco hangs with NieR director Yoko Taro for the day

From Platinum to pinball to drinks NieR: Automatadirector and all-around lovable scamp Yoko Taro is the latest subject oftoco toco, a wonderful documentary series that interviews creators in and outside of the video game industry. Since this episode debuted two days ago, I’ve startedAutomata, finished my first playthrough, and am now properly digging into it again — a process I’ll surely repeat at least a few more times. I knew it wasgoing to be good, but as my first Yoko Taro game, I didn’t expect to be quite so enthralled....
